Vilma’s Place is slap bang in “de heart uh Barbados”. This green and lush centre of the island is also home to Welchman Hall Gully, Hunte’s Gardens and Harrison’s Cave

Vilma serves excellent lunches including fish, salad and the Bajan staple, macaroni pie. It sits in a small valley outside the village of Airy Hill, surrounded by tall palms and the ubiquitous orange flowered African tulip tree. Expect a warm welcome from Vilma.

Visit Welchman Hall Gully in the morning – see the monkeys – and Hunte’s Gardens (left) in the afternoon (Vilma’s is a stone throw away). Try one of Anthony Hunte’s rum punches if you dare. A great way to polish off a super day in Barbados. See map below.
